The objective is to correctly solve all clues and submit all answers before the other participating teams.

2. Eligibility

Participants of all ages may participate.

Participants under 18 years of age may participate only with permission from a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Official Rules and participation terms on their behalf. By registering, the person completing registration confirms that all participants under 18 on their team have such permission.

Participants may compete individually or as part of a team.

3. How the Event Works

The scavenger hunt will begin at 7:00 PM Eastern Time on July 24, 2026 at Carrollwood Village Park.

Participants are responsible for arriving at the park and being prepared to begin by the scheduled start time.

At 7:00 PM, the clue set and submission instructions will be sent to the email address provided during registration.

All clues will reference locations, objects, signs, landmarks, or other features located within Carrollwood Village Park. Participants must explore the park, solve each clue, and record their answers.

4. Answer Submission and Winner Determination

Teams must submit their answers through the Google Docs submission link provided with the clue set.

Submissions will be automatically timestamped. Teams will be ranked according to the timestamp of their first submission containing all correct answers.

The first team to submit all correct answers will win first place. The next two teams to submit all correct answers will receive second and third place, respectively.

Teams may submit more than once; however, only the timestamp of a team’s first completely correct submission will count toward placement. Rapid, excessive, or automated guessing may result in disqualification.

The organizer’s determination regarding answer accuracy, submission timestamps, and final placement is final.

5. Prizes

Prizes will be awarded as follows:

  • First Place: $50
  • Second Place: $15
  • Third Place: One free public scavenger hunt

Unless otherwise announced, each prize is awarded to the winning team as a whole, not separately to each individual team member. Team members are responsible for deciding how any monetary prize will be divided.

The third-place free scavenger hunt prize may be redeemed for an eligible future public scavenger hunt offered by Cesar’s Scavenger Hunts, subject to availability and any redemption instructions provided to the winning team.

6. Entry Fees and Refunds

Registration fees are nonrefundable unless the event is canceled by Cesar’s Scavenger Hunts.

Failure to attend, arriving late, failing to receive or access the clues because of participant-provided contact information, or failing to complete the scavenger hunt does not qualify a participant for a refund.

By participating, each participant voluntarily accepts these risks and assumes responsibility for their own actions, safety, belongings, and transportation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, participants agree to release and hold harmless Cesar Maeda LLC, Cesar’s Scavenger Hunts, its owners, representatives, contractors, and affiliates from claims arising from participation in the event, except where liability cannot legally be waived.
